The picture shows 2/3 of the lint captured in a mini washer. I washed 2 cotton shirts and one pant made from a blend. The machine has a lint catcher as well. My black shirt looks better than when it comes out of a bigger fancier machine! This caught the majority of the fibers (and my cat's hair) that where in the water during the wash. Good investment, glad i purchased.

I'm totally pleased with this lint getter. It collects lint and dog hair during the wash. I use a non traditional washer - The portable panda washer with twin tubs- I don't have to lint roll as much once I pull my clothes from the line. It is a little hard to get the lint out especially if you have big hands/fingers, but you can definitely get around that by pushing the mesh in and working the lint up toward the opening.
